Watching a live performance by a Korean group was on my to-do list but I realized that I couldn’t possibly do that on my first trip. Heh. So when I saw on the program brochure that there’s a KPOP act that day on Lotte World, I almost flipped. For all I know, it could be just a group of high school students dancing to some KPOP songs. But OMG!
After our tiring trip to the museum, we went back to the amusement park to catch the KPOP show. We were so hungry but we sucked it up just to catch the show. I was so, so excited okay. That time, CNBLUE was still promoting their Hey You single and I was hoping that it’s them. I was a bit delusional, you see.
But it wasn’t CNBLUE and it turned out that it wasn’t anyone I knew. Well, I know them now. Heh. Guess who it is!
BTOB!
I don’t understand Korean and the host was speaking in Korean so yeah, we couldn’t understand a thing. But we did understand MNET! So it was for MNET? I don’t know, I’m just guessing here.
I wanted to cry because it was the first time I saw KPOP boyband perform live. I wanted to cry even though I didn’t know the group. Hehehe. I enjoyed their performance, though. I enjoyed their dancing but I can’t say the same for their singing. Also, I’m still hoping EXO wins best new boy group this year. Yeah, I’m a bad blogger.
It’s interesting to see the cameramen zooming in so much on the faces! I didn’t know they were so near the performers.
I am nowhere near becoming a fan of the group but two members were really pretty cute! Like really cute! Another one might be cute, too, but he was wearing shades the whole time. WHYYYY.
We weren’t that far from the stage but I wish we were a few benches closer. It sucks when you’re so small you know? No matter where you stand/sit as long someone’s standing/sitting in front of you it’ll be difficult to see the stage! I need a booster or something.
There must be something about wearing red in a concert! Girls who get to go on stage and get serenaded by the artists seem to be wearing red. I only noticed it now! Even the girl ChangMin and KyuHyun serenaded during the SMTOWN concert was wearing red! Or maybe it’s just a two-time thing? I don’t know. But I’d definitely wear red when I go to a concert. I could only dream of getting on stage omg.
The lucky girl probably fell in love with the boys and I probably would have to. I mean, you get 6 boys serenading you and trying to catch your attention, how lucky can you get? I wouldn’t have known what to do if they did that to me. Probably die. Maybe.
After BTOB’s act, my sister and I decided to go outside Lotte World. We had no idea when we’d be back. It would be a shame if we wouldn’t even see the outdoor part of Lotte World! So not knowing whether it was still raining, we went outside. Mommy and Daddy decided to just stay inside, though, since they knew it would be cold.
And it was. It was so cold that I was already wearing three layers of clothing and I was still shaking. But it was worth it since we saw the castle! Huhuhu. It was so pretty and I only saw a little of the outside and what I saw was amazing. We couldn’t roam around that much though since there was a little drizzle.
We only got to try one ride! The bump cars! I think that’s a classic and something everyone has to try when going to amusement parks. It was fun and there was this one kid who kept bumping my car and smiling at the process. I think he had mistaken me as someone his age, though. Oh well.
I wanted to try the Gyro Drop but that obviously didn’t happen. I didn’t even see it! That’s why I will come back and try all those extreme rides. /crying
Also, here’s a photo of me with Yong Choding. Hehehe.
When we came back inside, we couldn’t see our parents! OMG. We panicked a little because we had no way to contact each other. Also, we agreed to admit in one spot (the place where we watched BTOB) and they weren’t there. So instead of looking for our parents, we decided to stay in one place. It would only cause trouble if we ended up looking for each other.
So we sat there at the Garden Theatre and to our surprise, another program was just starting. So many people from the audience wore masks and people were standing and dancing and it was pretty amazing.
After the drums and other instruments were played, a group of girls went on stage and I thought they were another KPOP group! But they weren’t. But they were pretty good dancers, though.
The next act was B-boys! Huhuhu. I almost cried! I wanted to see the play The Ballerina Who Loves a B-boy but my companions weren’t interested so it was such a nice bonus to our trip. Also, I’ve always loved watching b-boys on Arirang and Youtube. Heh.
This was actually my favorite part of our Lotte World trip! I enjoyed it far more than my rides. I really suggest to anyone who will go to Lotte World to stay and see the shows at night.
There was a solo dance number by this JunSu look-a-like. I couldn’t help but stare! Also, I think he noticed that I kept taking his photos because I simply wouldn’t stop haha. I couldn’t see Junsu in person so I should at least abuse the chance that I saw his clone. He was definitely the best dancer in the group. If not him, then the leader!
After the Junsu-person’s performance, all the break-dancers and the group of girls came back on stage! They invited everyone to join them in dancing and it’s amazing to see that everyone did. Even my sister and I were standing and just clapping I guess. I wasn’t prepared to show Seoul my horrible dancing.
For a moment, my sister left me there and told me not to leave. She went to find our parents and she did! They were sitting in this secluded corner waiting for us and we were like, why would you wait for us there? So yeah.
The dancers went down the stage and approached the audience! They danced with them and urged everyone to join in. I was taking a photo of the two dancers and didn’t notice that my sister was behind them, dancing. LOLOLOL. Then I asked the two dancers to take a photo with my sister and I did. I didn’t get to take a photo with them, though. /huhu
Once the show was finished, we had no choice but to go home since the amusement park’s about to close already. But we took pictures next to whatever attractions were left. I didn’t really want to go since I had such a great time and there were so many things I was left to try.
Goodbye Lotte World. We shall meet again!
We took the subway again to get home. Once we reached Hyehwa, most dining places were already closed! We had to go to the street that leads to Sungkyunkwan University before we could see a dining place that we liked.
And it was the best dinner we had in Seoul! Not only the best but the cheapest, too! I now present to you the foods you MUST try when visiting Korea.
I will come back for this ramyun, I’m telling you. It’s definitely the best I’ve ever tasted! I don’t understand why whenever I cook ramyun at home, it’s just not as good. Also, that hot, hot, hot spicy soup did amazing things to our freezing body.
LeeGak’s omurice! Well, not really LeeGak’s but it’s omurice. I now know why Your Highness and his sidekicks love it so much!
The day might be long and tiring, but the dinner was just so amazing. I’m pretty sure it’s not just because we were tired, too. So if you want to know where this dining place is, it’s near Sungkyunkwan University! It’s one of the few dining places that was open late at night. I’m afraid I do not know the name, though, and I’m not even sure if it has a name.
I’m still dreaming of that ramyun.

Hi Janey~ 🙂 Do you still remember the name of the restaurant near Sungkyunkwan Uni? Thank you! xx
Jane says
Hi Laney! I’m afraid I forgot the name of the resto. But it’s pretty basic and looks like a canteen. But I do remember that it’s on the same lane as the university. I’m sorry I can’t tell you more. 🙁
