And I’m a proud sister.
March 25 is my sister’s birthday, and this year, it was also her graduation. After 4 tedious years of studying Medicine, my sister finally graduated. And damn right, I am proud. I know how much hardships she had been through, working through 36-hour shifts every other day and missing out on so many things that’s important for her. But she managed just fine and did it!
More people are telling me that I should pursue something like what my sister did. Taking law is mentioned a lot so I end up shutting down all this suggestions. My sister’s a doctor and I should be something, too, right? Well, I don’t know. I’m happy just being in the sidelines. Though I know it should put a pressure on me, it doesn’t bother me very much. I’m just happy that my sister’s excelling on something she put a lot of effort on. I’m fine being the doctor’s sister. Haha.
There are still a few more years of training and hard work ahead of her before she can finally say she’s a full-pledged doctor and rest assured that we’ll be here for her. No matter what. No doubt about that.
