Daddy’s Pasalubong

My father arrived from Italy last night! I only found out on Thursday night that he’s already coming home. In fact, he was already on the plane when I found out. That’s how good my family is at communication. The good news is that my father’s probably not going back to Italy. We’ve been nagging him to not go back for a few years now. Finally!

Anyway, let me say first that my father loves to spoil me and my sister. He pretty much loves to give us all the material things in the world, even those that we do not need or want. In fact, it takes my mother, ate, and I to stop him from buying so many things. It’s kind of awkward how the only one in my family who likes branded stuff is my father. I could care less if my shirt’s from Divisoria but my father loves buying at those expensive stores.

This time, I only asked him to buy for me one thing: a portable 1TB external HD. I even told him that I’d pay for it but he told me that I didn’t have to. My parents said that it will serve as their birthday/Christmas gift. So I agreed. But it turned out that he bought me other things. Well, I could only be grateful, right? I’m blessed to have parents who love me unconditionally and would give me anything, even before I ask. I love you mommy and daddy! :

It’s so beautiful I thought I’d end up crying! Heh. But really. It was pre-formatted for Windows, though, so I had to reform it first. Good thing wonderful tutorials like this exist! I already moved my 2010-2011 photos in my new baby. I have yet to think of a name for it. Suggestions?

Daddy said he’d also buy me a secondhand external flash. But I knew from the moment I opened it that it wasn’t secondhand. It’s so pretty, though, and I’d probably really feel like a photographer once I use it. The problem is I’m not exactly sure when I’d be able to use it. I don’t exactly do photoshoots.

I tried the flash already and I can already notice the difference. The picture’s out of focus but the light’s still good. And yes, I was obsessed with Hello Kitty. I made that Hello Kitty thing for my WorkEd class back in grade school. Hee.

My father also bought me other things! I told him that it’s okay if he wouldn’t buy me any more cardigans because I have too many already, and it’s so effin’ hot in Manila! Ate has new cardigans though, so I’ll probably just borrow it come colder months! I have new tee’s that I can wear anywhere. I don’t think I can ever outgrow stripes. Half of my clothes are striped. What even.

My father also bought me these Zara flats but they’re a size too big! Good thing they fit my ate because it would be such a waste. The sad thing is that I’ve been meaning to buy gray flats soon. My father coincidentally bought me a pair but it’s size 7 and I’m size 6! And look at that polka dots pattern. I’m obsessed with polka dots! I’ll try not to be bitter about this. Heh.

We have new bags, too! My mother’s kind of sad, I think. She thought the bag’s too childish and even seriously asked me whether I’d be able to use it. Well, it’s different from the ones I usually use but hey, I can’t not use it. And it’s cute.

We also have our new supply of chocolates we’ll end up consuming for the next six months. I have no idea how to finish all these. We still have some left from the last time my father came home which was on November last year.
